Terms of Service

Effective 2026-04-27. By creating an API key or calling the PropLine API you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptable use

PropLine grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to call the PropLine API for your own internal use, including building applications, models, websites, bots, and tools that consume our data. You may surface PropLine-derived insights (a single odds value, a prop result, a +EV figure) inside your own product.

You may not use the API to (a) attempt to circumvent rate limits or tier caps, (b) probe for vulnerabilities without prior written consent, (c) operate any service whose primary purpose is to mirror or redistribute our data, or (d) violate any applicable law.

2. Redistribution and resale

Bulk redistribution of PropLine data is prohibited. Specifically, you may not resell, sublicense, publish as a dataset, or share with third parties any substantial portion of the data returned by the API — including, without limitation, exports from/v1/exports/resolved-props, historical line-movement snapshots, and aggregated odds dumps.

Surfacing individual values inside an end-user product is fine. Repackaging the corpus for other developers, sportsbook operators, or data brokers is not. If you want a redistribution arrangement, contact us at hello@prop-line.com for an Enterprise license.

3. Watermarking and audit trail

Bulk export CSVs include a customer_token column derived from the API key that downloaded them. The token is stable per customer — every export you ever pull carries the same value. We log every export call with the calling key, sport, and time window. If a leaked PropLine dataset surfaces, we can match its watermark or content fingerprint against our audit logs to identify the source.

Every export also includes a small number of synthetic canary rows, marked with the literal prefix (Watermark) in the team and player-name fields. Canary rows are deterministically keyed to the API key that downloaded the export — independent of thecustomer_token column — so a leaked CSV remains attributable even if the column is stripped. Honest customers can filter them out withWHERE player_name NOT LIKE '(Watermark)%'; they will not affect any aggregate statistic that excludes them.

We disclose these mechanisms so you know they exist. Removing, modifying, or attempting to filter the watermark column or canary rows from data you redistribute does not affect your obligations under section 2 — it strengthens any claim under section 5.

4. API key security

Each API key belongs to a single customer or account. You are responsible for keeping your key confidential and for all calls made with it, authorized or not. Sharing a key across companies, committing it to a public repository, or embedding it client-side in a way that exposes it to end users is your responsibility — if it leaks and a third party drains your tier, you remain on the hook.

If you suspect a key has been compromised, rotate it immediately via the dashboard and notify us.

5. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these terms — particularly violations of sections 1, 2, or 4. Material breaches do not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid fees for the current billing period.

You may cancel at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal linked from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

The API is provided as is. PropLine makes no representation that prices, lines, resolutions, or stats are free of error or suitable for any particular purpose, including any betting strategy. You assume all risk for actions you take based on PropLine data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PropLine's aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the API is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the "Effective" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the API after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes (anything affecting redistribution, refunds, or termination) will be emailed to active customers at least 14 days before they take effect.
