The cheapest player props API
Free for 1,000 requests a day. $9/month for 5,000 a day. 54 sports, 25books, 60+ prop markets — and every prop graded won / lost / push against the real box score.
Get a free API keyThe sticker price is not the price
Player props are where odds APIs get expensive, and it usually isn't the headline number that does it — it's the billing unit. Most providers bill credits, and a credit is charged per market. The-odds-api publishes the formula plainly: cost = markets × regions.
So a single call for one game's props across ten prop markets costs ten credits, not one. On their $30/month plan (20,000 credits) that is 2,000 such calls a month — about 66 a day. Historical odds are billed at ten times that rate again.
PropLine bills per request. One call returns every market on the event — primary lines, alt lines, every book — and counts as one. That difference is worth more than any discount on the sticker price, and it is biggest on exactly the markets you came for.
What the market charges
| Provider | Free tier | Cheapest paid | Billed by |
|---|---|---|---|
| PropLine | 1,000/day | $9/mo | Request |
| the-odds-api | 500 credits/month | $30/mo (20K credits) | Credit (per market) |
| OddsJam | None published | No public price — contact sales | Not published |
| OpticOdds | None published | No public price — contact sales | Not published |
| Sportradar | Trial key | Enterprise quote | Contract |
Prices read off each provider's own published pricing page in August 2026. Where a provider does not publish a price for API access, we say so rather than guess — several third-party round-ups quote a consumer subscription price for a company whose API is quote-only, which is not the same product.
Every PropLine tier
| Tier | Price | Requests per day |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1,000 |
| Hobby | $9/mo | 5,000 |
| Pro | $19/mo | 25,000 |
| Streaming Lite | $39/mo | 100,000 |
| Streaming | $79/mo | 1,000,000 |
The paid feature set starts at Hobby ($9) — graded prop results, line history, closing lines and cross-book +EV are all included there. Pro ($19) is a volume upgrade with CSV exports on top, not a different feature set. No credit card to start.
Cheap is not the only reason to pick it
Everything above is about price. The reason people stay is that PropLine answers a question the cheap tier of an odds API normally can't: did the prop hit? Our resolver polls the official MLB, NBA, NHL and ESPN feeds after each game and grades every Over/Under against the real box-score stat — won, lost or push, with the actual number attached.
That is included from $9/month, along with historical line movement, opening and closing lines for CLV, and cross-book +EV with no-vig fair lines. Coverage is 54 sports across 19 sportsbooks and DFS books plus 6 exchanges.
Try it before you pay
The free tier is enough to build something real. No card, no sales call.
