About PropLine

PropLine is a REST API for sports betting odds. It returns real-time game lines and player props from 25books — traditional sportsbooks, DFS pick'em sites, prediction markets and betting exchanges — across 54 sports, in a response format compatible with the-odds-api so an existing integration can be pointed at it with a base-URL change.

The part that is ours alone is prop resolution. Every player prop we record is graded against the official box score once the game ends: won, lost or push, with the actual stat value attached. Odds APIs generally stop at the price. We keep going to the result, which is what makes closing-line-value tracking, hit-rate trends and honest backtests possible from one source instead of three.

Odds are polled continuously — roughly every 60 seconds before a game and every 30 seconds while it is in play — and every price change is written to a permanent snapshot archive. Nothing is purged, so the historical line-movement record grows every day and can be exported in bulk.

Grading runs off official league and federation sources: MLB Stats API, the NBA and NHL feeds, ESPN for football, soccer, tennis, golf and college sports, ufcstats.com for MMA. When a source cannot be matched to a fixture with confidence, the prop stays pending rather than being graded on a guess. Under-resolving is a deliberate choice: a wrong grade is worse than a missing one, because a consumer cannot tell that it is wrong.

Live per-book freshness is public and unauthenticated at /freshness, and uptime is monitored externally and published at /status. Both exist so you can check our claims instead of taking them.

PropLine is built and operated by Andy Thompson, working independently. It is not owned by a sportsbook, an affiliate network or an odds-screen operator, and it carries no affiliate tagging on any outbound link — a deliberate standing decision, so that which book looks best in a response is never influenced by who pays us.

Support, sales and security reports all reach the same person at support@prop-line.com. There is no ticket queue in between.

Subscriptions only. Free accounts get 1,000 requests a day with no credit card; paid plans start at $9/mo. There is no advertising, no data resale to third parties, and no affiliate revenue. Pricing is per request rather than per market-credit, so adding markets to a call does not multiply the cost.
