What MLB total bases is
Bases earned on hits: one for a single, four for a home run. Walks do not count, which is what separates it from an on-base market.
How we settle it. Graded against total bases in the box score, so an extra-base hit moves it by more than one.
Every number on this page is measured against the live API, never copied from a spec sheet. Last measured 16 August 2026.
